Oscar Niemeyer was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1907 and graduated in Architecture at the University of Brazil in 1935. He started working with one of the most renowned architects, Le Corbusier.

In the 1950’s he was chosen to design all the official buildings of the city of Brasilia. Since 1960 he has worked both in his country and abroad, leaving his marks in Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Algeria and France among other countries.
